Spreets of Milo
Monday, April 18th, 2011Milo is our dog who passed away this year. We finally found some cute puppy pictures of him and decided that we are going to make spreets out of them and hand them out to people whose lives he has ever touched. I think he was a great police dog and, when he retired, he became a great pet. I am sure the police department will appreciate this kind gesture. They always want to know where their pups go when they retire. I know this is somewhat a heartbreaking way to break the news to them, but at least they will have something to remember him by. I know several officers who would visit him often, but now they have been transfered to other places, so they aren’t able to visit him as much. They hadn’t seen him for a few weeks, and when it was time to put him down, at least we were there for him.

Coming Up with a Jingle Called: Canon Lenses for Sale
Thursday, February 24th, 2011I’ve just been hired to write a jingle for a local camera store. They told me that it would have to sound like a techno song and that I’d have to include the phrase “Canon lenses for sale.” The whole thing should last for about 15 seconds and must be very catchy.
I’m already thinking of how I’m going to structure the song. Since it’s going to have techno elements in it, I’ll probably have my vocalist repeat the words “Canon lenses for sale” over and over. It sounds a bit repetitive but that’s the key to getting a tagline stuck in someone’s head — by repeating it. For inspiration, I’m going to listen to my techno collection all night.
I’m so happy that I got this job. I’ve been wanting to break into the jingle-writing business for ages. I’m going to make sure I do this really well so I get hired for more work.
